Hedging Ireland

Testimonials - from some of our customers

We had a lot of planting done over the years by Derrylea Trees. The quality of trees and shrubs and the service was excellent. The instant hedging is top class and provided us with an immediate screen. We are certainly delighted with their work.

We were both delighted with the manner in which your firm tackled our tree removal and re-planting project. It was indeed a difficult job for your team because each Leylandii had up to six trunks, several with embedded barbed wire. But in a matter of days you had them cut down, chipped and in their place a magnificent laurel hedge. This laurel hedge is thriving and many of our neighbours congratulate us on this improvement.
— John and Patricia Marks, Bray, Co. Wicklow.

We have bought trees from Derrylea Trees over the years and the latest project involved the supply and installation of some semimature trees and instant beech hedging. Very pleased with the quality and the service.

I came across hedgingireland.com when I was searching for instant hedging for a new build in south Dublin. And I’m very glad I did because 25 laurel plants over 2.5 metres tall were planted at the rear of my garden giving instant privacy. Two years later I have a wonderful hedge, over 3m in height, that looks like it was there for decades. All supplied and planted. Highly recommended.
— Cecil Hayes, Dalkey, Co. Dublin.

We are renovating Woodbrook House in Co. Laois. Part of our plan was to create a parkland setting and we engaged SemimatureTreesIreland.com to supply and plant trees to replace those removed by previous owners in the 1970’s. Very happy with the work done.
— BEN GOODBODY, PORTARLINGTON

I’m delighted with the size and quality of trees and hedging for my new house in the grounds of the hotel. The job really makes the house seem private.
— Rose O'Loughlin, Keadeen Hotel Newbridge

In 2021 we finished the renovation of our period house in Co. Kildare. In the years since we have had yew hedges planted, herbaceous borders and a parterre created. With woodland areas planted and paths created throughout, there is a wonderful feel to the property. Some very large trees were included for strategic areas. We are very happy with the work.
— Dermot Short, Esher, Surrey

Over the last 20 years we have been restoring this enormous house and grounds. Some of the parkland trees are getting very old so we have planted trees to supplement them. Unfortunately, in 2020, the Electric Picnic organisers needed to enlarge the main stage area, requiring the removal of two limes and an oak which had been planted 10 years previously. We decided to transplant them, which was a huge job, but very successful.

We are delighted with the evergreen oak planted against the wall and trained on a bamboo framework. It’s given us wonderful privacy.

Planted in March 2025 these 30ft Austrian Pines have established very well on the edge of Carlingford Lock. Delighted with them!

Over the last two years we have planted an avenue of semimature oak trees, some parkland trees, two hedges at our new house near Dunlavin. All doing well. The repeat visits to check on the plants has been impressive.
